Miss J Medcalf -   Coopted Governor (Chair, Member & Trustee)

Miss Metcalf is a Laboratory Technician for BP and supports the Research centre and Environmental & Industrial Health.  She attended all the Withernsea schools and still lives in the town.

Miss Metcalf has relatives and God children in Withernsea Primary.


Mrs J Maplebeck -  Member


Born in Withernsea, Mrs. Maplebeck still lives and works in the town.  From a banking background originally, she works in one of our local estate agencies.

She has 1 child currently in the school, in Year 3.  She herself attended the Withernsea schools and is enthusiastic to play a part in moving the Primary School forward to become an outstanding school. 

Mrs Maplebeck is a member of our Curriculum, Finance and Appeals committees.


Mrs A Harper (Headteacher) -      Staff Governor & School Improvement                                                         Director/Trustee

Mrs. Harper is Headteacher of the school and as such reports back to Governors through out committee and board meetings.  Mrs. Harper is a Governor at another local school as well as working in collaboration with other local Headteachers.  Mrs. Harper is a designated Local Leader of Education and also chairs the local authority Primary Behaviour & Attendance Partnership.  


Mrs N Siddle (Assistant Head responsible

for Business & Development) -   Associate Governor

As an Assistant Head, Mrs. Siddle is responsible for School Business Management in the school.  She reports to Governors on all financial matters and is our Governor responsible for Numeracy and a Class Governor.   Mrs. Siddle also works on behalf of the National Association for School Business Management and is a Specialist Leader for the Humber Teaching School.  She is also  a Governor for a federation of two other local schools. 


Mrs J Jackson -        Coopted Governor/Trustee

Mrs. Jackson has lived in our local area for 15 years and has worked for 20 years as a Police Officer.  She has worked as a Juvenile Liaison Officer, Detective in Child Protection and for the last year as a Neighbour Beat Officer covering an area in Hull.

Mrs. Jackson is on our Curriculum and Finance committees.  


Martin Lindgren -        Staff Governor/Trustee

Mr. Lindgren has worked in education for 13 years.  Originally an ICT Network Manager, he moved into teaching and was Head of ICT and Business Studies at Withernsea High School. We are delighted to say that from September 2013, Mr. Lindgren transferred to teach for Withernsea Primary.  He is also our Governor responsible for Pupil Premium.

With one of his own children still at Withernsea Primary, Mr. Lindgren is very proud to have lived in the local area since being a small child, attending all the Withernsea Schools.   


Vicky Taylor -       Parent Governor (Vice Chair, Member & Trustee)

Living in the area for 39 years, Mrs Taylor attended all the Withernsea Schools and now works as a Police Officer in the Public Protection Unit in Hull.   

Mrs. Taylor is on our Curriculum and Personnel committees.  


Lyn Good -        Parent Governor/Trustee

Newly retired and a well known and respected member of the Withernsea Community,  Mrs. Good has extensive experience spanning over 35 years in Schools Finance & Administration working for Withernsea Infant School and later for Withernsea Primary School.  Heavily involved in the academy conversion in 2015, her knowledge and experience will be invaluable.  Mrs Good has Grandchildren in both Withernsea Primary and High schools.


Kirsty Wicks -         Coopted Governor/Trustee

Mrs Wicks originally completed a Law Degree and worked as a Property Solicitor in Lincoln and Hull for a number of years. 

She has two children at the school and has lived in Withernsea for the last 10 years.  She currently works in one of our local pharmacies as a dispenser.


Susan Boasman -   Coopted Governor (Finance Director, Member & Trustee)

Mrs. Boasman has lived in the local area for most of her life and attended Hull Grammar School. She has worked at a local accountancy practice for 16 years taking up the position as Practice Manager 10 years ago and enjoys both her accountancy and management work. 
She has 3 children at Withernsea Primary school and has another starting after Easter and believes in supporting the school and other governors in continuing to raise the standards for the children and local community
Alison Hoey - Parent Governor/Trustee
Mrs Hoey offers the board valuable expertise and knowledge from her background as a Forensic Auditor.  She has kindly offered to act as our Responsible Officer and as such will visit the school on a regular basis to undertake an internal audit of the schools financial records and reporting.  This will provide additonal scrutiny to our year end accounting and annual external audit.
