Welcome to the New South Building. We opened to children on 14th June 2021.
Please look round at our beautiful new classrooms and Hall. The hall is much bigger than our old hall and can be converted into 2 Halls so we can do more indoor PE in winter.
We also now have our own kitchen and can cook and serve fresh meals daily. The children have their own cloakrooms in their classrooms and easy access to toilets from their classrooms. It is a fantastic new learning environment which we really appreciate.

The virtual tour was filmed whilst under Covid lockdown in February 2021. The classrooms are not set out for normal times. They reflect covid restrictions- sitting in rows, distanced furniture, not all book cases in use etc. Its not how the classrooms normally look but captures a historical moment in time.
We have had to do the tour virtually as we can’t invite people to come and look round due to covid. We hope everyone enjoys looking round and it triggers some good memories.
Many of the rooms have had different functions over the years, hopefully people can recognise them and remember their time at Withernsea Infant School as it was prior to joining as a primary school in 2010.

‘The curriculum supports pupils in developing positive attitudes to learning. Leaders have linked activities closely to pupils’ interests and aspirations. This has been particularly successful in engaging boys.’
Pupils are making good progress in improving their reading, writing and mathematical skills. Pupils’ progress in key stage 1 is particularly strong. Pupils are developing a range of exciting vocabulary in their writing. Pupils’ handwriting and spelling are weaker.
