School Meals

School meals are available at a cost of £2.10 per day.   Lunch money should be brought at the start of the week or on a daily basis.  The Teaching Assistant in your child's class will record any money brought into school.  As they are our provider of school meals, please make any cheques payable to 'Withernsea High School'.

Free School Meals

If you feel your child is entitled to a free meal, then please contact the Benefits Section  on the details provided below. Alternatively a form can be obtained from the school office or you can request one via our 'Contact Us' link on the home page.  Please be aware that until such time that the school is notified of your entitlement, we will still have to make the usual charge of £2 per day.

Even if you already have a child in school receiving free meals, if you admit a sibling to Reception, you will need to notify the Benefits section accordingly.

Free meals for all Infant age children (Reception to Year 2) from September 2014.

Although all children of infant age will be automatically entitled to a free meal, we strongly encourage all families who are in receipt on income support or other income related benefits to complete a Free School Meal/Pupil Premium application form.

By identifying children in our school who would traditionally be entitled to these benefits, the school will attract additional Government funding which enables significant additional support for our pupils.

Allergies

Please keep the school up-to-date with your child's allergy information. Please be aware that during the school year the children do participate in food tasting, parties, bun sales and curriculum cookery, so this information is vital.
